Decarbonizing Urban Mobility
Chair: Damien Cataldi (Modus Foundation)
Urban mobility accounts for a significant share of global greenhouse gas emissions, with the transport sector contributing approximately 24% of global CO₂ emissions (International Energy Agency). Within cities, passenger cars are responsible for about 45% of these emissions (IPCC), highlighting the critical need for innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. This workshop focuses on addressing this challenge by fostering collaboration and developing actionable strategies for decarbonizing urban transportation systems.
By addressing the decarbonization of urban mobility, this workshop underscores the critical role of cities in combating climate change while improving air quality, public health, and urban livability.
